Isaac Estey

27 Nov 1627 - 11 Jun 1712 ·Isaac Estey (27 Nov 1627–11 Jun 1712) was an early resident of Topsfield, Massachusetts. Family notes state that he arrived in America with his parents, Jeffry Esty or Easty, first settling in Salem Village. He married Mary Towne Esty (1634–1692), who was executed during the Salem Witch Trials. Isaac held several Topsfield town responsibilities and left a will dated 26 Mar 1709, probated 11 Jun 1712.
Isaac Estey was born 27 Nov 1627. Family notes state that he came to America with his parents, Jeffry Esty or Easty, and that the family first settled in Salem Village.
By 1660, Isaac was living in Topsfield, where he was a commoner on the south side of the Ipswich River. In 1672, Isaac, Deacon Howlet, Lieutenant Peabody, Joseph Towne, Edmund Towne, and Thomas Baker were granted all the swamp meadow lying upon the Ipswich River.
Isaac married Mary Towne Esty, who was born in 1634 and was executed in 1692 during the Salem Witch Trials. Isaac and Mary were admitted to full communion in the church in 1684. Their children, said to have all been born in Topsfield, were Isaac; Joseph; Sarah; John; Hannah; Benjamin; Samuel; Jacob; and Joshua.
Isaac served as a Topsfield selectman in 1680, 1682, 1686, and 1688. He was a juryman in 1691 and 1696 and performed various other town duties.
His will was dated 26 Mar 1709 and was probated 11 Jun 1712. Isaac Estey died 11 Jun 1712.
